GRD Talent Show Gains Accreditation

Finalists will compete at Iowa State Fair

 While the Great River Days Talent show has been a long-running feature of the annual GRD festival, 2011 will mark it’s first year as an accredited Bill Reily Talent Search location, with the winners advancing to compete at the Iowa State Fair finals held this August in Des Moines.
“We are very pleased to be involved in this state-wide talent search as a part of the Great River Days festival” commented GRD Co-chairman Kerry Keller. “Our past years’ GRD talent competitions were always popular and well attended, but having this year’s talent contest winners advance on to the State Fair finals just a few weeks later is big.”
The 53rd Annual Great River Days Talent Show will be held on July 30 at 1PM, at the Muscatine Riverfront’s “Pearl City Station” building. Spectator general admission is free, and contestant entry information can be found on the GreatRiverDays.com website, or contact Judi Connor at 563-263-3406.
