Just three short months from now, Muscatine’s 53rd Annual Great River Days celebration will commence on July 27-30, 2011, in the park shown above in the picture. But not to worry, event though the Family Credit Union Main Stage will be set up just to the right of the trees, we have been here before many times and the river does eventually retreat.

Organizers have been busy despite the recent Spring flooding of the Mississippi River, adding new events, sponsors and making plans for GRD 2011, which will be here before you can say “driftwood”.

The “Battle of the Bands” voting webpage is open for entries and voting, and continues to gather momentum on a daily basis. Many of the 2010 event sponsors have renewed, along with some new names such as Sterling Fence and Altorfer Caterpillar, who will power the GRD event in 2011.
