Saturday 9AM update

 Clear skies will meet GRD festival-goers for the finale of GRD 53 in Muscatine’s Riverfront Park today. Many of the attractions are already open, including the GRD craft and business fair and other activities. The parade starts at 11AM, followed by plenty of kids and family activities the rest of the afternoon. For a Saturday schedule, click here.

 The Menasha cardboard boat world record attempt has been moved to the downstream boat launch, near the Pearl Button Paddlewheel. It will sail at 4PM.

 The GRD Concert Series gate opens at 530PM. Adult tickets are $15, with kids under 12 free w/ paid adult. Tonights show features Hear Kitty Kitty at 7PM, Seven Shy at 8:30, and FIREWORKS at 10PM. Then, headliner Quiet Riot will close the festivities, taking the stage at 10:15.

 Despite the quickly rising Mississippi River, ALL GRD concerts and activities will go on as planned today.  However on Sunday morning, we could use some volunteers to help load out starting at 9AM, as the flood crest is predicted for later that day.
