GRD moves into Riverfront Park

Things are going to happen fast now!

Promptly at 7AM Monday morning, the first stages of GRD 2011 began to assemble in Riverfront Park, in anticipation of this week’s festivities and concerts. We will work diligently to keep the GreatRiverDays.com website updated with the very latest info, and encourage you to check here often for schedule adjustments, new attractions, and other event news. Like this…..

Three-day all inclusive concert passes are STILL available, but are selling fast. If the sale location you visit is out of them, we have some at Party HQ, 223 E 2nd St Downtown Muscatine or by calling 563-263-3084 for CC by phone.  All one-day concert tickets are sold at the gate night-of-show ONLY. For ticket locations and prices, click here.

The parking lots in Riverfront Park are closed to all vehicles except those with parking passes for GRD. Boaters may still launch from either end, but the Cedar Street entrance as well as East harbor drive (upstream) will be inaccessible during various times during this week for load-in, set-up and other GRD events. Boaters are encouraged to use the downstream launch this week, and enter off of Iowa Avenue.

Starting Wednesday, the left turn lanes of Mississippi Drive will be closed to traffic entering the Riverfront. Those with parking passes should enter from Iowa or Cedar and cross Mississippi Drive on the lights, instead of using a right or left hand turn.

GRD could still use a few volunteers in the concert area for Thursday and Saturday nights. Call Kerry at 563-263-3084 or 563-571-0155 if you are able to help out for a few hours either night.
