While 2009 was a new beginning, 2010 again raises the standard for family-friendly entertainment right here at home. GRD 2010 will feature the reunion of Crusin originally known as The Daybreakers (2008 Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee) and the XLs, who were newly inducted into the Iowa Rock-n-Roll hall of fame in 2009. (www.iowarocknroll.com/inductee)  The Battle of the Bands returns on Friday evening and headlining the event on Saturday night will be a Grammy-winning country band, who has numerous top-chart singles.

Great River Days was voted the “Best Community Event” in Muscatine for 2009, and represents the new energy and direction for the annual festival. Our goal was to bring Great River Days back to the high standards of past history, and that is important to the community.  We feel that progress has been made with the new Riverfront Park activities, entertainment layout, and the quality of talent to take the Main Stage at GRD.

More plans for GRD 2010 will be announced very soon, and will include a listing of activities and entertainment. This years event will be the largest GRD festival in almost 20 years, and is an opportunity to show that good things can happen right here in our own home town.

Great River Days is also looking to increase the Arts and Craft show. 2009 brought the show back to the grass at Riverside Park, and those attending and exhibiting felt it was the best place to host the event, and look forward to coming back in 2010.

Great River Days was chosen by the public as the “Best Community Event” in 2009, and we want it to be the occasion that everyone remembers, right here at home on the banks of the Mississippi River in Muscatine.

Second St. Muscatine.
