Great River Days Announces a Date Change for Taco Eating Contest

The annual Super Hot Taco Eating Contest sponsored by Taco Johns of Muscatine will be held on Saturday night instead of the previously set date of Friday.  In order to keep the Friday night Battle of the Bands concert on the scheduled times slotted the GRD organizers thought it was best to move the Taco Eating contest.  “To get five bands on and off the stage in the allotted time will be tough as it is , but having another event in between could cause problems with the timing” event co chair Kerry Keller said.

The contest will take place in front of the main stage at approximately 9 pm between the Saturday night performances of Deliverance and Kentucky Head Hunters.
